GCSE tuition for SEN students

I specialise in supporting neurodiverse students with English Language, Maths and Science GCSES at Foundation Level (up to Grade 5). I am also happy to provide support across other subjects if needed. Sessions are adapted to cater for the needs of each student, with a strong focus on building confidence and study skills.
Difficulties faced by neurodiverse students
All students find preparing for GCSEs challenging, but there can be extra challenges faced by neurodiverse students.

For example....
Some students with autism find it difficult to use inference and therefore need a different approach to their peers when preparing for their English GCSES.
Some students with ADHD may struggle to know where to start with revision and end up waiting until the last minute, relying on adrenaline to kick start their hyperfocus.
Some students with dyslexia may have difficulties accessing the text or recording what they know.

These sessions are great as they give me some time to focus on my revision without any distractions. I decide what subject I want to work on and Siobhan is there to support me. She has lots of different study resources for us to use and shows us the best ways to revise. Personally, I've found it really helpful completing practice questions and creating mind maps on the tablet. Thanks to these sessions, I am definitely feeling much more confident and well prepared for the upcoming exams!
